Program Overview
The Ashley County Veteran Service Office operates under the guidance and standards of the Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs (ADVA) to ensure that Veterans and eligible dependents receive accurate information and assistance regarding state and federal benefits.
The office serves as a local point of access for benefit counseling, claims preparation, and coordination with ADVA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide individualized benefits counseling to Veterans and their dependents
- Assist with preparation, submission, and follow-up of federal and state benefit claims
- Maintain compliance with ADVA accreditation requirements and procedural guidelines
- Serve as a liaison between Veterans and applicable state and federal agencies
- Ensure timely dissemination of benefit updates, program changes, and Veteran-related announcements
