911 Department

Brandy Dye
911 Coordinator

What we do:
It is the responsibility of the 9-1-1 Coordinator’s office to make sure any E-9.1.1 call received has the CORRECT address and ESN (Emergency Service Number). *The ESN tells the dispatcher what emergency personnel should respond to the call. Structure Addressing may include: Apartments, barns, commercial buildings, houses, mobile homes, pole sheds, poultry houses, storage buildings, gas meters, and phone towers. Contact our office if you have questions about the following: If you need an E-9.1.1 address assigned to a new structure or mobile home on your property. Report a road or E-9.1.1 yard sign missing or have questions about Ashley County’s E-9.1.1 mapping.

Road Signs
We are responsible for the upkeep on Ashley County Road Signs and County E- 911 Yard Signs. County roads with green road signs are a county owned and maintained road. County roads with a brown or red sign are limited public access roads. The E-9.1.1 Coordinator’s office will maintain the road sign, but the county road department will not maintain the road.
